An independent group of MPs and Lords, from all political parties, 'APMobile' was established in 2001 to encourage debate on a range of mobile issues, bringing together relevant stakeholders including consumers, industry, Parliamentarians and pressure groups.

Mobile Phones: The Education Enhancing Tool (Date tbc)

Mobile phones are not seen as helpful in schools - stories of 'happy slapping' or of mobile use disrupting classes have lead to them being seen as the antithesis to ideal educational settings. But we may be missing some of the best things about mobile technology; it offers endless possibilities for children in school, from discussing and sharing homework to enabling youngsters to be tech-savvy.
